The bantha were easily domesticated beasts of burden that could be found on several planets in the galaxy thanks to easily being able to adapt to different climates. Many of these planets claimed to be the native home of the bantha, until archaeologists determined that the oldest fossils were on Tatooine and therefore that was its home planet. On various planets they were used as food (meat and milk), clothing, as beasts of burden, transport and war vehicles. The bantha had a sensitive tongue like a sort of hand, which was used for getting hold of food without the need to bend awkwardly.

This gorgeous Bantha costume includes a brown suit imitating the Bantha mount, and an inhabitant of the sand doll on top. The costume is completed by a brown headpiece and with big horns.
